What are RSS feeds?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a technology that distributes Web content to designated subscribers via electronic updates known as “RSS feeds.” You can register to receive RSS feeds from blogs and Web sites that interest you. You read such feeds in any RSS-enabled Web browser, which is also known as an “RSS reader.”
You and Cuppa Joad RSS feeds
You’re invited to subscribe to Cuppa Joad RSS feeds, which is an easy way to stay informed about all our book-focused news, reviews, and other posts. You may choose to receive either all of our blog posts or only specific posts—in the categories and by the contributors that interest you. Select your feeds below!
Blog posts via e-mail instead of RSS
Submit your e-mail address to us via the Enter Your E-mail box on the right. We’ll send an e-mail update each time we publish a new Cuppa Joad post, so you can link right to new posts on Cuppa Joad rather than reading them in an RSS reader. You can unsubscribe to e-mail updates at any time. And rest assured that we will only use your e-mail address for this purpose (privacy policy).
Select your Cuppa Joad RSS feeds
It’s easy to subscribe to our RSS feeds. To do so, follow these simple steps:
- In the box below, click the link associated with the reader and feed that you desire—depending on whether you want to receive all of our posts or only posts in certain categories.
- If you already subscribe to the reader you’ve selected, you may have to log in to your reader to confirm your feed selection. If you’re new to the reader you’ve chosen, just follow the reader provider’s set-up prompts and then finalize your feed selection.
- Return to this page and select any other feed that interests you.
You may also subscribe to posts written by a particular contributor. To do so, merely click the contributor’s name (in their post or in the Contributors section on the right), which takes you to their archive page; then click the link to subscribe to their feeds.
A note about RSS readers
If you’re new to RSS, you’ll need an RSS reader to get started. Search the Internet for “RSS reader” and you’ll discover dozens to choose from, along with lots of help for setting up your new reader.
With an RSS reader, you’re notified when Web pages, like our blog, are updated with new content that matches your interests. All of your feeds from all of your desired sites are consolidated into one location, where they stay organized like you want them and you can read them at your leisure. What a refreshing change in this era of spam bombardment!
